shrink cinemadng to uhd, 2k or full hd and keep it raw, or convert RAW video to prores, dnxhr or h.265 for editing. timecode and audio come with it.
raw in, raw out
cinemadng is resized on the sensor data itself, never debayered, and written as lossless cinemadng.
RAW video to prores, dnxhr or h.265
add the camera maker's free sdk once. h.265 is encoded on an nvidia card.
nothing half-finished
every cinemadng output is checked frame by frame before it gets its real name.
whole cards at once
add a folder, queue batches, or run them overnight from the command line.
- buy it once and download it from your account page.
- add files or a folder, then pick a size or a format.
- press start, then bring the output into resolve.
- windows 10 (22H2) or 11, 64-bit
- any x64 cpu, more cores convert faster
- an nvidia card for h.265 only
- online once every 30 days for the license check
- cinemadng output is lossless and never upscaled. files get smaller because the resolution goes down.
- prores, dnxhr and h.265 stay in the camera's log color. set the input color space in your editor.
- RAW video needs the camera maker's free sdk, which you download and add once.
- convert one short clip and check it in resolve before you do a whole archive. keep your originals.
how much smaller will my files be?
for cinemadng it follows the pixel count: uhd to 2k keeps about 28%, and to full hd about 25%. prores and dnxhr are often bigger than the camera's files. h.265 is the smallest.
is the output really still raw?
cinemadng output is: nothing is debayered or graded. prores, dnxhr and h.265 are developed video in the camera's log color.
which cameras does it work with?
lossless or uncompressed cinemadng from cameras like the sigma fp, dji zenmuse x5s and x7, and older blackmagic bodies. blackmagic raw, prores raw, arriraw and nikon n-raw aren't supported.
why not just use resolve?
resolve's proxies are free and fine for editing. aps encode makes files you keep, a whole folder at a time, from a queue or the command line.
does a render box need its own key?
no. it uses your key and counts as one of your 3 machines.
what does buying once get me?
the app, for good: every 1.x update, on 3 machines at a time. if it's not for you, ask for a refund within 14 days. the license page has the details. an aps suite subscription unlocks this app too.
