refunds
14 days, no questions. if you bought an app or started a suite subscription in the last 14 days and you want your money back, you get it. you don't have to tell us why, though we'd like to know.
how to ask
sign in, open your account page, and press "request a refund" next to the purchase. or email [email protected] from the address you bought with. that's it.
what happens next
- we refund the full amount to the card you paid with, through square, within 2 business days of your request. your bank usually shows it in 5 to 10 business days.
- the license key for that purchase stops working at its next check (within a day while the app is online), and the machines on it are signed out. the apps on your pc stop starting new work; your files, footage, reports and libraries are untouched and stay yours.
- you get an email confirming the refund.
there's no trial, so this is it
we don't do time-limited trials for aps ingest, aps player and aps encode. buy it, use it on real cards for a couple of weeks, and if it isn't for you, ask for the refund. dms depth is different: it renders a watermarked preview without a key, for as long as you like, so you can test it before you buy. the 14 days apply to it too.
subscriptions
- cancel any time on your account page. the apps keep working to the end of the period you paid for, and you aren't charged again. cancelling is not a refund.
- the first payment of a subscription is refundable for 14 days like any purchase.
- a renewal charge is refundable within 14 days of the charge, the same as a first payment. after a renewal refund the subscription ends at once.
- outside those windows we don't refund part of a period.
after 14 days
email us anyway. if an app can't do what its product page says on a machine that meets the requirements, and we can't fix it, we'll sort it out. we won't argue over a few days.
a few plain rules
- refunds go back to the card you paid with. we can't pay a different card or account.
- a refunded purchase can't be re-activated. if you change your mind, buy again.
- if you dispute a charge with your bank instead of asking us, the key is turned off as soon as square tells us, and it stays off unless the dispute goes our way. please ask us first. we say yes within 14 days, and it's quicker for you.
- if we revoke a key because it was deliberately shared, resold or published, that isn't a refund case (eula 6.3).
- 2.0 upgrades and anything else we sell on the store follow the same 14 days.
- these refunds are on top of any rights your country's consumer law gives you, never instead of them.
